Throwing Stones in a Pond of Ideas: Throwing Stones in a Pond of Ideas is an interactive single-channel video work which will reflect and interconnect diverse interpretations of the Juice 3.0 Conference theme of “celebrating risk” as offered by the conference attendees. The video screen will present different phrases that appear and disappear based the activity in the space. These phrases will progress sequentially in a logic similar to a word association game, with each new phrase finding common content with its predecessor. Discrete actions in the space will cause a phrase to appear, much as a stone cast into a body of water creates a surface patterning. The more activity in the space, the more activity on the screen.
